Tri County Area Schools
"Leading the way in educational opportunities for the successful future of each student."
District Purpose Statement
"Educate. Encourage. Empower." (E3)
Welcome! The Tri County Area School District serves children from the panhandle of Montcalm, eastern Newaygo, and northern Kent counties. We are centered approximately 30 miles north of Grand Rapids, Michigan, along the US-131 corridor. The district combines a rich history in agriculture with comfortable, rural, residential communities. The Tri County Area offers wonderful opportunities for outdoor recreation with many inland lakes, and the Muskegon River waterways nearby.
Tri County Area Schools offers schooling for students from 3 years old through High School. The district is designed with an early childhood center, a K-2 and 3-5 elementary school, a 6-8 middle school and a high school. Students in our K-12 program follow a strong core curriculum, as well as have opportunity to participate in art, music, physical education and computers. We also offer vocational and specialized programs in cooperation with Kent Intermediate School District, Newaygo County RESA, and Montcalm County Intermediate School District. With our unique location in three counties students also have the opportunity to take dual enrollment classes through Montcalm Community College, GRCC, GVSU and Ferris State University.
Tri County is a family community that has a proven dedication to support the school district, and values helping all students achieve their best future. We are equally proud that you have considered Tri County Area Schools as you make important decisions about the development of your child. We look forward to working with you to help your child achieve his/her best future. WE ARE TC!
