Tri County Area Schools Administration

From Our Superintendent

I consider it one of my greatest professional honors to serve as Superintendent of Tri County Area Schools. Growing up just to the north in the neighboring Morley Stanwood School District - where I received my high school diploma - I’ve always felt a strong connection to this region. This is home. I know firsthand the values, work ethic, and sense of community that define our area, and it’s that shared foundation that inspires me to serve the students and families of Tri County with purpose and pride.

Like many of our students, I was shaped by public education, devoted teachers, and coaches who saw potential in me even when I didn’t see it in myself. I was fortunate to continue my education at Central Michigan University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. Later, I received my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University. I currently hold an active Michigan professional teaching certificate, a Michigan K-12 school administrator certificate, and a K-12 central office endorsement through the Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators (MASA).

These experiences have deeply influenced my belief that every child - regardless of background - deserves opportunity, encouragement, and access to high-quality learning experiences that prepare them for life beyond graduation. At Tri County, we are proudly anchored in excellence and charting our future together. Whether students find their passion through academics, athletics, the arts, skilled trades, or leadership activities, our mission remains the same: to educate, encourage, and empower. It’s not just a tagline - it’s a commitment we live every day.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and diving into conversations about leadership, public service, and education. I hope to connect with many of you at school events, games, concerts, or community gatherings. When you see me, don’t hesitate to introduce yourself - I value listening, learning, and building partnerships that move our district forward.

Thank you to the Tri County Board of Education for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading this remarkable district. Together, we will continue to serve our students and community with purpose and pride.

Go Vikings!
