While this face may already be familiar, Mr. Norey is beginning an exciting new chapter in a new role at Tri County Elementary. We're excited to see the experience and passion he will bring to this position!
Welcome to the Team:
I am Jeff Norey and will be the new STEM Design Lab teacher! I am excited to bring my background in engineering, design, and creative problem solving skills to our students at TCE. Both of my children are students at TCE. This coming year, Wyatt will be in 1st grade, and Lyla will be in 3rd grade. My wife, Megan, is a surgical RN at Butterworth in Grand Rapids. Both of my parents are retired teachers, so you could say I was "born into teaching." When I am not at school, I enjoy taking my family to find new experiences and explore the outdoors. I am very excited to become part of the TCE family! See you all in August!

VIKING VOYAGE PARKING & SHUTTLE INFORMATION
As you make plans to attend Viking Voyage: Back to School Open House & Community Event, please use the parking map to help you determine where to park and how to get to the event.
Parking Suggestions
We suggest that each family park at their child’s school building and take advantage of the shuttle services to and from the event.
Free Shuttle Service
Tri County Area Schools will provide two shuttle buses, including a handicap-accessible bus, running between the Elementary Building and High School Building throughout the event.
Overflow Parking
Additional overflow parking will be available at Heritage United Methodist Church. A shuttle bus will transport families to and from the church and Viking Voyage.
Handicap-Accessible Parking
Handicap-accessible parking will be available at each school building as well as at the bus hub directly across from the event.
Important Road Closure
The main road by the football field will be blocked to allow our Food Trucks to safely operate during Viking Voyage. Please plan your route and parking accordingly.
Please use the parking map to find the best parking location for your family and follow the directions of Tri County staff and shuttle drivers when you arrive.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to make parking and transportation as easy and safe as possible for everyone attending!

Tomorrow is our LAST summer meal pickup!
Our food services staff have requested that families bring reusable groceries bags, laundry baskets, or anything that'll make it easier for loading up items.
Meals can be picked up on Thursdays from 9:15am - 12:15 pm at the TC Middle School kitchen door.

Viking Voyage Student Passports
Each TCAS Student will receive a Viking Passport when they attend the Viking Voyage Event located at TC Practice Football Field on August 20th between 3 p.m.-7 p.m.
Students will visit booths with their families to have fun and learn more about the local businesses and resources available to them. After their visit to a booth, a staff member will be present to place a “TC” sticker on the student’s passport. Look for our staff members wearing black TC shirts!
5 Booths Visited = 1 Raffle Ticket
10 Booths Visited= 2 Raffle Tickets
15 Booths Visited = 3 Raffle Tickets
20 Booths Visited = 4 Raffle Tickets
25+ Booths Visited = 5 Raffle Tickets (Max.)
Students will visit the Passport Table to redeem their raffle tickets. A staff member will look at the Viking Passport to add the student name into a document and then hand the student the number of raffle tickets they earned. Students will need to write their full name, grade and phone number on the back of the ticket(s). Students may only redeem tickets from the passport one time, so please make sure you are done visiting all the booths you can before bringing the passport to the ticket redemption table.
Raffle Table will be present at Viking Voyage on the Practice Field. Items will be displayed with a box to enter a ticket in the item(s) they would like to win!
Students are eligible to win multiple prizes, with the exception of the Chromebook. Each student may win only one Chromebook. If there are no tickets remaining in a prize drawing box, the tickets from that box will be added to the remaining tickets at the conclusion of all drawings. Those tickets will then be used to draw winners for any remaining prizes.

New Staff Spotlight! We're excited to welcome Greg Miller to Tri County Area Schools!
Get to know Mr. Miller:
I am excited to be joining Tri County Elementary as a second grade teacher. I taught at Greenville Public Schools for 15 years. I taught kindergarten for ten years, first grade for four years, and PE for one year. My wife is Mrs. Miller, a third grade teacher at TCE. All five of our kids attend Tri County Area Schools. Also, I will be an assistant coach for our varsity basketball team.
This year, I'm excited to see my wife down the hall and two of our kiddos in the hallways. I'm also excited to teach a new grade level. When I'm not at school, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I enjoy laughing with my wife. I love to play outside with my kids. We play all kinds of sports and enjoy riding our bikes. I also enjoy taking care of our home and yard.
