This Thursday, June 4th, is our first Summer Meal Pickup!
Meals can be picked up from 9:15am - 12:15pm at the TC Middle School kitchen door. Cars will pull up to the door, get out, and pick-up their food. There will be four stations; milk, freezer pack, shelf stable pack, and a produce pack.
Each child 18 years or younger can get one bag from each station. The packets are also available for special needs adults from 18 to 26 who are enrolled in a recognized program.

We're so excited for Mrs. Miller at Tri County Elementary, Mrs. Hetler at Tri County Middle School, and Mr. Schultz at Tri County High School! They were each voted as one of the recipients of gift baskets of goodies from our local Wesco as part of their Teacher Appreciation Week! They do a lot of great things and kind gestures for all of our staff and students- we're incredibly thankful for their support.

Viking Voice! ⭐️
Last week, Mr. Biller visited MacNaughton Learning Center for his third Viking Voice visit! He had the chance to meet with some of our preschool students to talk about things going well at our school and ways we can continue to improve together.
Mr. Biller also spent time on our new playground and got to see our students in action enjoying the new space. We love giving our students opportunities to share their voices and ideas!

Tri County Middle School 8th grade students recently traveled to DeVos Place to participate in the Career Quest event. Students had the opportunity to explore a variety of career pathways through hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and conversations with professionals from across Michigan. The experience allowed students to learn more about future educational opportunities and careers in areas such as healthcare, technology, skilled trades, public safety, and engineering while encouraging them to begin thinking about their future goals.

🦋 Butterflies at MacNaughton!
Our preschool classrooms have been observing butterflies right in their classrooms as part of their learning experience. One classroom recently had the exciting opportunity to release their butterflies and watch them take flight! What a memorable hands-on learning moment for our youngest learners.

We would like to formally introduce Ben Durian as our district’s Armed Safety Manager in partnership with SEC Shield. Ben brings over 28 years of law enforcement experience, including service with the Wyoming Police Department and Metro Nashville Police Department, along with recent experience as a substitute teacher here at Tri County since 2022. Mr. Durian will be present in all of our buildings, connecting with students and staff and supporting our ongoing commitment to school safety. We are grateful to have him as part of our team and look forward to the experience and dedication he will bring to our schools.

Last week, the 2nd and 3rd grade students had the opportunity to explore a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at our special Farmers Market! From everyday favorites to a few unique options, students enjoyed learning about healthy foods and picking out new things to try.
Experiences like this help encourage healthy habits, hands-on learning, and a love for trying something new!

On Monday evening, senior, Savanah Thompson broke the MHSAA record for most goals scored in a career! This record not only shows her talent for scoring, but also her leadership and dedication to the program. Congratulations Savanah on this monumental achievement!

Last week, our preschoolers had an exciting visit from Republic Services! Crystal came to spend time with our students and shared the fun and engaging story “I Stink!” by Kate McMullan and Jim McMullan.
After the story, students got a close-up look at a real garbage truck and even enjoyed a guided tour—what a highlight! 🚛
