February 2, 2026 - Tri County competitive cheer performed in front of a packed home crowd and delivered a performance that reflected the very best of the Viking tradition. With three confident, high-energy rounds, the varsity team secured its 11th consecutive Central State Activities Association conference championship, continuing a legacy built on consistency, discipline, and pride. This young and determined squad finished the night with a total score of 769.40, setting new school records in round two and overall team score, and standing as the only team to surpass the 700-point mark. The performance was a clear reflection of the team’s growth throughout the season and the steady leadership guiding them forward.
Head coach Jen Laskey and her staff have emphasized patience, fundamentals, and belief, allowing athletes to develop confidence and trust in one another. That focus was evident in clean routines, strong expressions, and a team-wide commitment to performing together at a high level. The success of the evening extended across the entire program. Junior varsity finished first, the middle school teams earned two of the top three spots, and the youth program proudly took the floor, highlighting the depth and strength of Tri County cheer at every level.
While another conference title is worth celebrating, this group knows the work continues. With postseason competition ahead, the Vikings are using this moment as motivation as they prepare for districts, regionals, and a return trip to the state finals.
Through teamwork, perseverance, and pride in one another, Tri County competitive cheer continues to model our mission to Educate, Encourage, and Empower — building confident leaders both on and off the mat.
