Superintendent Search Information

As you may know, Superintendent Cumings will be retiring from Tri County Area Schools at the end of December 2023.  The Board of Education has partnered with Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) to conduct a Superintendent search.  The district will be working with Jay Bennett from MASB, who will be facilitating the search.

You will be able to find information on this page regarding the timeline for the search and candidate information when it is made available.

August 14 - Posting goes live
August 22 - Stakeholder Survey goes live
August 31 & Sept 7 - Stakeholder Input Meetings
September 8 - Stakeholder Survey closes
October 3 - Posting closes
October 9 - Interview Prep
October 18 & 19 - First Round Interviews
October 23 - Finalist Visits to District & Final Interviews
October/November - Board Decision
January 1 - New Superintendent on Site
