WELCOME TO SAND LAKE ELEMENTARY!

Welcome to Sand Lake Elementary, a 3-5 building with the Pillars of Character in front of our school.  Our mission statement at SLE is:  Sand Lake Elementary will educate all students to reach their potential.  We as a staff believe this wholeheartedly.  Along with Capturing Kids Hearts and Character Counts, we nurture, support, and challenge your child.  We teach the Pillars of Character: Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Fairness, and Caring.  We continue to have character assemblies, which the children put on themselves.

My name is Krystyna Sweeney and I have been the principal at Sand Lake Elementary for nine years.  I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a BA in Elementary Education, a MA in Educational Leadership, and I have a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership as well.  My husband Jim and I have been married for 35 years and have two sons living in Nashville, TN.  Both of my sons are Chiropractors and are planning to open a Chiropractic Office together this fall.

Please come by and visit our school.  For security reasons, all persons visiting the school are required to sign-in at the office first and require a visitor's pass.  We welcome you to stop by and visit!
