Welcome to MacNaughton Elementary.  We are a Kindergarten to Third Grade building with approximately 500 students.  The motto for all students and staff at MacNaughton is to “Bee Your Best”. 

My name is Allen Cumings and I am the principal at MacNaughton.  I have a BA in Science and Physical Education from Calvin College, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University.  MacNaughton is a special place for me as I began my teaching career here in 1998 as the physical education teacher.  I feel privileged to work the great students, parents and staff at MacNaughton Elementary.

MacNaughton is a rural community based school with a vision to help every child grow academically and socially.   We are a part of the Michigan Integrated Behavior and Learning Initiative (MiBLSi) that helps children understand how to be Responsible, Respectful, Safe, Ready to Learn, and also focuses academically on improving reading skills.  Through our growth in the MiBSLi progress, and the dedication of our staff  MacNaughton received an “A” grade on the state report card.  We are proud of our growth and are striving to continually improve.

Please feel free to come and visit the school.  For security reasons, all persons visiting the school are required to sign-in at the office first and acquire a visitor’s pass.
