Welcome to Sand Lake Elementary!
Welcome to Sand Lake Elementary, a K-5 building. My
name is Krystyna Sweeney and I am the principal. I graduated from
Grand Valley University with a BA in Elementary Education and a MA in
Educational Leadership. My husband and I have been married for 32
years and have two sons, Jim and Jonathan. Jim is a Chiropractor and
is living in Knoxville, TN. Jonathan is living in San Jose, CA, while
attending Palmer West Chiropractic School. At the end of May 2008 he too
will have his degree. They hope
to open their own business together someday.
Sand Lake Elementary is a rural K-5 school
with approximately 450 students. We have a staff of about 50
people. We, at Sand Lake, are a Character Counts School. We
teach the Pillars of Character: Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness,
Citizenship, Fairness, and Caring. We have assemblies monthly which
the children put on themselves. Our goal is to nurture, support, and
challenge your child, so that he/she will become an independent, life long
learner. We welcome you to come and witness our talented staff and
children in action. For security reasons, all persons visiting the
school are required to sign-in at the office first and acquire a visitors
pass. Stop by and
