Mrs. Bakhan has been at TCHS since 2000. Mrs. Bakhan is currently teaching with Mr. Bagin in World Geography as well as teaching Study Lab two periods a day. Mrs. Bakhan graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Psychology and Special Education. She has a eleven year old son, who goes to Tri County Middle School, and a two-year old daughter.

Mrs. Bossemeyer has been here since 2001. She graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Math and Science. She graduated from high school at Tri-County. She currently teaches Applied Math 1 and Geometry. Next year she will be teaching statistics also. She is completing her internship in school counseling through Western Michigan University.

Ms. Buckner has been teaching here since 1994. She graduated from Grand Valley State University and has a degree in Psychology with endorsements in special education, learning disabilities, emotional impairment, and mental impairment. Ms. Buckner is currently teaching World Studies Civics, English II. She is also involved in after school tutoring.

Mrs. Chamberlin has been teaching at Tri County since 2004. She is a graduate of GRCC and GVSU where she majored in Spanish and minored in Biology. Currently she is working towards her masters in Education with a Biology emphasis and an additional language to teach. She directs Viking Volunteers, co-directs Theatre, and assistant coaches Odyssey of the Mind. In her free time she enjoys working out, kayaking, and nature walks especially in the spring when the spring peepers and spring flowers are out. She teaches Spanish I and has taught Biology.

Mr. Cook has been teaching here at Tri County since 1989. He is a graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio. He has a degree in Chemistry and Secondary Education, with minors in math, physics, and Religion. Mr. Cook currently teaches Physics, a college Chemistry course, and chemistry. He is also currently the director of a water quality testing program that is incorporated throughout the state of Michigan.

Mr. Daum is a graduate of Ferris State University and has been teaching at Tri County since the 2004-2005 school year. He currently splits his time between the English and Social Studies Departments. Mr. Daum is a co-adviser to Student Council, the JV Boys Basketball coach, and a co-coach for the Girls Golf Team.

Ms. Knox has been teaching here since 1996. She graduated from Grand Valley State University and has a Degree in English and Language Arts Literature. Ms. Knox is currently teaching Media Productions, Study Communications Skills, and the Yearbook Class.

Mr. Dummer has been teaching at Tri County since 1978. He graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors Degree in English. He then moved on to the University of Michigan to get a Masters degree in English Language and Literature. Mr. Dummer has also earned a masters degree in Humanities from Central Michigan University. Mr. Dummer is currently teaching, Composition, World Literature, and English I.

Mr. Ells has been teaching here since 2001. He graduated from Grand Valley State University with his teaching certificate in Biology and Earth Science and is currently working on his master’s degree. He also a bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Environmental Health Management from Ferris State University. Mr. Ells teaches Biology and Earth Science. Mr. Ells is the coach of the Tri County JV football team, the Power lifting coach and the assistant Varsity Baseball coach. He is also head’s up the Tri County Ski and Snowboarding Club. Mr. Ells is also a huge Michigan State fan and attends all the games.

Mr. Fisher has been teaching at Tri County since 1978. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Science and Mathematics. Mr. Fisher is currently teaching Algebra II, Pre-calculus, and also Driver’s Education.

Mrs. Kik has been here at Tri County since 1997. She graduated from Grand Valley State University and has a degree in Social Science. She is currently the career preparation coordinator. She is also working with Michigan Virtual High online programs, school to work, Drivers Ed 2, and coaches the boys and girls cross country.

Mrs. Lutz-Krebill teaches sociology, psychology, practical economics, and world history. She graduated from CMU in 2001, and has a social studies major, as well as minors in history and psychology. She began teaching at Tri County in the fall of 2003 after completing two years of national service with AmeriCorps. She married her husband, Eric, in 2002, and delivered Ethan into the world in 2006. She also lives with a golden retriever named Reese and two chinchillas, Murphy and Hunter.

Mr. Mercer began teaching at Tri County in 2004. He graduated from Aquinas College in 1988 with a BS Degree in Business Administration and obtained his Masters Degree in Education in 2003. Mr. Mercer and his wife Deb have 2 children, Malorie and Ben. Mr. Mercer enjoys coaching basketball, golfing, fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time with his family. Mr. Overbeek began teaching at TriCounty in 1994. He graduated from Aquinas College in 1994 with a BA degree in Political Science. Mr. Overbeek and his wife Mary have two daughters, Anna and Emma. He teaches physical education and mathematics. He also coaches varsity baseball and is an assistant with the girl's varsity basketball team.

Mr. Renner has been teaching here since 2001 after teaching at the middle school for three years. Mr. Renner has a bachelor's degree in Science and Biology from Ferris State University, and masters from Western Michigan University. He teaches Intro to Biology and Earth Science. Mr. Renner is the head coach for boys golf and varsity wrestling. Mr. Renner graduated from Tri County in 1991. Mr. Renner is married to Mrs. Renner and they have a son named Nicklaus.

Mrs. Stewart graduated from Tri County High School in 2000, and has been teaching here for two and a half years. Mrs. Stewart received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education from Aquinas in 2004. Mrs. Stewart is currently team teaching in the Math Department and one hour of freshmen Science. Mrs. Stewart is also one of the sophomore class advisors as well as one of the drama directors. Mrs. Stewart is also the Varsity Pom and Dance Team Coach.

Mrs. VanZyll has been teaching here since 1995. Mrs. Vanzyll graduated from University of Michigan and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. Mrs. Vanzyll also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Aquinas College and she received her Master’s in 2000 in Education Technology at Grand Valley State University. Mrs. VanZyll is currently teaching Health and Weight Training. Mrs. Vanzyll also has two beautiful children named Morgan and Macy.

Mrs. Williams has been teaching at Tri County since 1998. She taught 7th grade math at the Middle School for 8 years before she moved up to the High School. Mr. Wilson also has a Master’s Degree in Music from Central Michigan University. Mr. Wilson is the band director and choir director for the High School and also teaches beginning band at the Middle
School.
Mr. Zerlaut has been at Tri County since 2001. He graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies and Computer Science and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. Mr. Zerlaut is currently teaching World Geography and U.S. History. He also coaches the girls varsity basketball team.
